Hi Francois,
I am so sorry you are feeling frightened and I know it can be scary.
I. Know you have the left ventricle dilation, and it's usually due to elevated blood pressure, but if you get your blood pressure under control that would be so beneficial!
so when you go to the ER, they find nothing wrong. That's great! Now it's time to start working on your anxiety and panic. Just so you know, any symptoms related to anxiety cannot hurt you! They are very scary but that's all they can do. Rapid heart rate, sweating, and even chest pain can be attributed to anxiety. Your test keep coming out normal so our little friend anxiety and negative thinking are trying to take over.
you see, all anxiety and panic begins in the brain. All that energy the brain musters up has to go somewhere so it comes out is symptoms. When we are anxious, the brain sends out adrenaline to protect us but it can also cause rapid heart rate, sweating, dizziness, etc. When we feel the symptoms we get more Anxious, so the brain sends out more adrenaline! The vicious cycle.
The only way to decrease or get rid of symptoms is to calm down the brain.
you need to learn the proper breathing technique and mind set when anxiety begins. This approach is called mindfulness and it is taught all over the world. People on this site have also used mindfulness and say it really works. I do it all the time.
You can find meditations for breathing on YouTube. There is one called 10 minute breathing meditation. Several to choose from. It's important to know this because when anxiety creeps up you need to focus on your breathing right away and stay in the present moment. I like to use earbuds for a better effect. Just choose the meditations that you like and do them a couple times a day if you can. There are other meditations for anxiety, depression, sleeping, you name it!
A good one to start with is called mindful meditation for relaxation by Glenn.
another good one is called detachment from overthinking .
you can also get a book called mindfulness online at Amazon or in a bookstore. It is a white book up with a ball of string on the cover. It teaches you everything you need to know about regaining your peace of mind and saying goodbye to anxiety and fear.
it's a different way of thinking about anxiety. They even teach classes in mindfulness all around the world.
have you ever considered speaking with the counselor about this? They see this every single day and know how to help. They helped me a lot.
has your doctor ever given you advice on an exercise program or visiting a dietitian? This would be great to keep your blood pressure at a good level and losing weight would definitely drop the blood pressure.
try not to take life too seriously, be good to yourself because this is not your fault, do things you enjoy and things that make you smile and laugh, it took me a long time to start doing this but it's definitely worth it!
Remember, the mind is a powerful thing. When we tell it that we think somethings wrong with us, your subconscious believes us and then the symptoms start. Even if nothings wrong.
so remember don't react with anxiety and fear when you get a anxious or symptoms, go right to the breathing that you will learn and some anxiety meditations.
instead of being fearful, you have to take the attitude of "this is OK. I will be fine and this will pass" and go to your breathing.
be a fighter for yourself! You are the one in control not anxiety. !!
You can do this! You will have a beautiful life!
❤️❤️❤️😁
I am 47 and you don't stop worrying, ever. Our world isn't set up that way. Make a list of worries. Figure out which ones you can control and which ones you can't. The ones you can't control are in gods hands and leave it at that. The ones you can control, start addressing them one by one and crossing them off your list as you complete each task. You trying to take everything on at once is causing an over load, so you need to narrow your field of worry. You are one person and have limits. Remember you are not alone. You may find by addressing each one of your worries one by one instead of all at the same time, a sense of accomplishment and self pride and self strength. A therapist can help you put that list in order of the most pressing worries, and then attack them one by one in order of importance. Hope that makes sense.
