My lumbar region has arthritis and a herniated disc in l4 and l5 which seems to be affecting my left side pelvis region and hip. I also suffer with costro but if that weren't enough misery I now am having problems with the upper part of my spine which is painful and causing pain in left shoulder and left side of neck and front of neck and a little discomfort in collar bone . How can the upper spine be causing all this . Need doc to arrange tests again . Anyone know if spine can cause all this
You need a CT/Myelogram with contrast...the "gold standard" spine test. Provides the docs with a complete map of your spine. Find a really good neuroSURGEON (not a neurologist). I've had two fusions and a laminectomy.

I have almost the same agony except for the shoulder pain. The groin started 3 months ago. I had a spinal Fusion in the L4, L5 a year ago. I have had back problems for years. The fusion didnt work or the many counless everything I have tried. I dont know what else to do feeling so disabled. My Dr said it is all related to the back and I should try the nuero spinal stimulator. I about just ready to give up/ Another try with a stimulator that I feel hopeless it wont work. I am in your corner and will let you know how things go/ Still take meds but they dont work and just give me sleep for a couple of hours so I am out of pain.
