How do I overcome my symptoms?

Two days ago I had a panic attack after experiencing arrhythmia, my heart just started beating at a fast rate so hard that I could hear it altering my breathing. This already made me massively anxious, I sat down for about five minutes waiting for it to go away, but instead of gradually going off it just stopped all together. I know now my pulse was just normal to where I couldn't feel it, but in that moment I actually thought my heart had stopped beating. As well as that the symptoms of a panic attack come in such a way which make you believe your dying. I was dizzy, my vision was blochy, I was breathless, nauseous, I felt empty and weightless, and I was terrified. The worst part of it lasted for about 7 minutes, but since it happened I haven't had a break from symptoms. I have a burning pain in my chest, thinking about food makes me feel sick, and I often feel faint and weightless. I can be laughing with my family and still have these symptoms. How can I help them go away? Or at least make them better? I suffer a lot worrying about my health and I keep falling into the trap of convincing myself that I've got a serious illness. I don't know how long it will be before I'm not able to persuade myself otherwise, and then I know that things will only get worse, I'm scared that this could happen and im scared that this will never end. Please help me, what I can do?

I think most of us that have health anxiety worry because of a fear of death. The reality is we will all pass one day and we can't control it. It's terrifying for many of us including me. I just literally posted about chest pains scaring me.

Most people who have strong faith, don't fear things like that. The mind is so powerful and it's amazing how it can affect your body.

Unless it's something catostrophic, most things can be treated if one gets sick. That's the importance for all of us to go to the dr consistently for checks and reassurance.

For peace of mind, visit your doctor. When the tests come out normal, you need to learn how to manage your anxiety.

Any symptoms related to anxiety cannot hurt you. Your heart will be fine. It won't stop beating. It's an automatic function of your body.

I have had all your symptoms and many more...all from anxiety and stress over many years!

what happens is that when you are anxious, your brain sends out adrenaline which can cause rapid heart rate, dizziness , breathlessness etc.

If you react with fear to the symptoms, more adrenaline will be released...A vicious circle!

So its important to stay calm when you have symptoms.

To reduce symptoms, you need to calm down your brain.

Listen to audio meditations on you tube for anxiety. They totally calm me down mentally and physically and my symptoms diminish greatly or go away. 

Just search for Guided Meditations for Anxiety or sleep or depression. 

A good one to start with is called Mindfulness meditation for relaxation.

Also listen to mindful breathing meditation.

Dont dwell on the symptoms 

be good to yourself

do things you enjoy 

I know the feeling of trying to enjoy family time when symptoms are going on. No one knows how we really feel and it's such a lonely isolating feeling. 😞
