How do I send a Private Message?

Wanting to ask some specific medical/surgeon information to various members on who/what/where of their surgical procedures I don't believe are allowed to be addresed in the public forum.  I'm not figuring our how that's done on this site.  Can someone provide instructions?

Above the posters name to the right you will see an envelope, that will allow you to PM other members

There is no envelope on my screen.  I see the posters name and to the left there is a graphic, and their badge count but no envelope.  I've tried clicking on the name but it only brings me their profile and no envelope or option to PM the either.  ??

No, it's not a matter of privacy.  There is a poster on an old thread who'd had a certain surgery with a certain surgeon and I'd like to contact them for further details they weren't allowed to post in public but were allowed to share via PM.

what kind of device are you using ? 

I am on my laptop and the psters name is on left side of message and envelope under it ...it won't show if you push the "reply" button though but will when you read the post .. not sure if I am explaining it correctly ...

Jim, if you are using an iPad you won't see any envelope. Only thing you can do is reply to persons comment, love comment or report. Try a laptop/desktop xx

Jim on my iphone it shows the env over names you just have to be careful and touch only envelope only them it will work. Had to do couple if times to get it 😜😜😜

I'm on I phone and can see envelope on all posters, maybe you have to get so many points to PM I don't know for sure
