How does the urologist get to your prostate? Can you do it through the urethra?

This is probably a dumb question but I was trying to figure out if a urologist could access ones prostate without cutting through the urethra. If the prostate is not accessible from the urethra and bladder then how could a  urologist during say a bladder surgery TU RB get to the prostate if he wanted to alter it cut it or modify it in anyway?

My understanding, as a layman, is that the only bits of prostate accessible for removal from inside the urethra are by means of a TURP, to ream a wider hole and thereby ease urine flow. I visualise it as a TURB that stops short!

I have just had a biopsy and the prostate is reached through the rectum. No cuts!

Good luck.
