You are not too far gone. I had prolapse after my first son and had a uterine suspension. I was able to have more children. I will say that even after surgeries to help lift my uterus back up, I personally, kept prolapsing. I am 36 now and had a hysterectomy 8 weeks ago. I did also have a rectocele that was not fully repaired and am having another surgery in 2 weeks to finish the repair completely. You need to see a urogynocologist, preferably one that specializes in pelvic organ prolapse. I completely understand what you are going through. Know that you are not alone and this is not uncommon. Kegels may help a little but ultimately you will need surgery.
very sad to hear that surgery is a must, but im glad i could have more children. did it get worse with each pregnancy? i would like at least one more child. if not, two. but im so worried about looking like i have a huge fat snake crawling out of me afterwards
and thank you for sharing your experience with me
i had stage 3 rectal and bladder prolapses and stage 2 enterocele (intestine prolapse) after my first baby (at 33). I had another baby (at 35) and could have had more (if i wanted to..i didn't). i did have surgery to repair the prolapses, but the repairs failed. so I'm back to pretty much where I was after Baby # 1 now. I use a pessary and it's not too bad. i know how you feel. i was extremely depressed when i discovered the prolapse. but there is life after it!!
