Had rectocele surgery 10 days ago.
Still bleeding even though not much. How long does it lasts?

Hi, I had same operation as well as others. My bleeding stopped at the day 14th. I think it can last longer. Important thing is the bleeding should not be more than period.
It's more of a brown discharge not bright red so think it's old blood. It's quite smelly as well . 😱 Is this normal ?
I bled for about 4 weeks, it stopped then I had my check up with the consultant and after the examination I bled again for another week. It seemed as though it went on for ever, but thank goodness it does stop eventually. It is normal to be a bit smelly, but if it smells too much you may have an infection.
I spotted for almost 3 weeks. If you are bleeding more than a period please call dr
Mine was very small, pink in colour and no smell all the time. But at 2 weeks, I could smell strange apart from blood. I went to GP and it was nothing. Hope yours is same.
It took me about 6 weeks to stop but it was very light
Hi Kar67, i'm post op 4 weeks today, i had a a blood stained pad last night, it just comes & goes, i'm ok for a few days then it comes back again, i will say is that Saturday i walked to town with my partner, We took the dog with us, My partner he walked him As he is a very strong willed dog, & pulls, but he left me outside of the building society with the dog while he popped in, & The dog was going Crazy with the passers by, & was pulling like mad, So whether or not that caused my bleeding it could have been!! its a pain i haven't been able to take my Dog for a walk yet, As he has suffered from my operation with not being able to get out for his Walks, but can't be helped, until i think i'm fit enough, he will just have to put up with my Daughter taking him out for once a day, & my Partner, takes him at night,
