How long does the pain last??

After years of 'on & off' chest pains I saw a specialist yesterday & she confirmed that I had suffered an anxiety attack & that I was possibly stressed or depressed. The pain moves around my chest but doesn't really hurt (as if someone is holding me with there hands firmly) the specialist was great & linked a lot of the behavioural patterns & thought processes to flight or fight syndrome which I thought was perfect. But the chest pain (or noticeable change to normality) has subsided at all. It's constant. I'm just wondering if anybody else can relate to this?

Anxious people tend to breathe in faulty ways which can cause chest pain.  The next time you get this, close your mouth and breathe through your nose.  Also combine this with Paracetamol and relaxation exercises.

It will abate in time I'm sure with less worry and more distraction/concentration on doing enjoyable things that take the place of anxious thoughts.

Anxiety messes with all of the body. There is a vagus nerve that runs from your head to your gut. When the fight or flight is triggered the chemicals adrenaline, cortisol and epieoherine run thru you and this nerve. So we feel that in symptoms. Nerves get irritated too and muscles. Its exhausting on the body and us.

That would explain a lot since the pain has gone from my neck to my stomach today! Does it pass or will it only pass when I recover mentally? Thank you for you wisdom it's much appreciated
