ive had a PS for a couple of years now and its usually flares up once a year but it gets really painfiul i cant sit sleep walf or do anything paractically
im thinking about going in for surgery but im really scared that is why i have been putting it off for so long
i just wanted to ask if anyone knows how long the surgery will go for
Think op took a couple of hours for me - but I am not sure as it's done under general anesthetic. I was told initially that it would be day surgery. On the day of the op they said they'd keep me in for pain management which was entirely pointless as it didn't hurt all that much (my wound was left open to heal) and i'd much rather have been at home in the comfort of my own bed in more peaceful surroundings!!!
The op wasn't as bad as I thought, just have to be patient as healing takes a while! (Had mine done beginning of July and still healing!)

I had a spinal anasthetic which meant I was a wake for the operation and mine lasted about 15 minutes
i went into the operating theatre at 9:30 and came out at 11:45
