I tested positive for genital herpes about 3 weeks ago after going to the doctors in agony all over my body. I had one quite big ulcer down below and my body ached all over. The worst part has been the enormous pressure in my lower back similar to the pain I felt during my back to back labour. I've had constipation and piles since before I was diagnosed and painful enlarged glands in my armpits. The ulcer is alot less painful now but still uncomfortable. But I still have all the other symptoms. I just don't know what to do or if this is even normal
Also forgot to mention. I have alot of sores in my mouth. My tongue is whitish and covered in red sores. It makes it very difficult to eat and even drink water. Is this because of the herpes or something else??

I had swab tests but I wasn't told what type, I didn't know there was different types of genital herpes. I had anti viral tablets for 7 days on the first week. The sores in my mouth are so painful in the morning and then just feels swollen and kinda like it's tingling all day

En cuanto a tu boca, el herpes oral suele aparecer en el exterior, alrededor del borde de los labios, y cuando ocurre en el interior, suele ser en superficies duras, no blandas como la lengua. ¿El médico examinó tu boca y tomó una muestra de allí también? Podría ser una presentación inusual de herpes, supongo, o posiblemente hongos.
I did ask for a blood test aswel as the swab but the doctor said no! She didn't even look in my mouth when I told her there's sores there, apparently she didn't have time and I would need to make another appointment for that!
I've never had a cold sore or anything like this before so I'm feeling very weird
¿Qué pasa con los médicos que se niegan a hacer pruebas? El suyo no es el primero que veo aquí y es frustrante de leer. El primer brote siempre es mejor tomarlo con hisopo y tipificarlo, y si el paciente está preocupado, ¿cuál es el daño de hacer la prueba? ¡Tantas oportunidades desperdiciadas! Si tu boca sigue igual, yo iría a un médico diferente e insistiría en un hisopo para confirmar cualquier diagnóstico visual que hagan, pero eso es lo que haría yo.
