I have been diagnosed with HSV2 . I have now had my first outbreak. it was very painful. I have heard that some people rarely get an outbreak after the first one. how many outbreaks did you had since the first one ?

Hi I had my first outbreak in 2016 and it was horrible I have had 1 minor outbreak in 2017 and it was not bad I have not had anymore I have hsv2
I had my first genital HSV2 outbreak in 2016 too. The first one was the worst one.
2nd outbreak 5 weeks later
3rd outbreak 7 weeks later
4th outbreak 3 months later
and so on. The gap between the outbreaks just kept getting longer.
Longest interval so far 14 months
I recently had two outbreaks a few weeks apart when my general health was poor and I was stressed, so that makes a difference.
everyones different, some get 1 every couple of years some get one every few weeks, depends on your lifestyle, stress level and how you eat. keep fit active, happy and eat good, it should leave you alone.
