How long is the longest anyone has had an external pile for, not just the lump but the pain and itching too?

Mine eventually went down after a looong 8/9 weeks. It stopped hurting so much at around week 4 or 5 but I was so worried it was something worse as the lump was not budging.
Use a haemorrhoid cream with a hydrocortisone in and take warm baths with Epsom salts. It will help soothe and shrink. Wishing you all the best x

I can’t tell if it was like yours as I can’t really remember… But when I felt it, it felt like a hard pea.
It’s likely to be a thrombosed haemorrhoid, and they do take a while to go away. Is it painful?
I know you said you dont want to see a doctor but I really would urge you to - they will be able to put your mind at rest and even give you meds if needed.
If you do an econsult with your doctor you should be able to send the picture - you may not even need to see them face to face
it isnt painful at all, nor does it bleed which makes me question if its thrombosed
Mine didn’t bleed either. It rarely itched and was only painful in the first week or so
