After repair? I keep having the urge to do them. Especially when I get that twingy sting pain
I started mine about 2 weeks after my surgery as soon as the catheter was out
My doctor had said 6 weeks. Maybe you will find out good info. Like how many?
The physio told me to start them straight away, if it hurts then stop, then try the next day. But do them as soon as you can and then for the rest of your life.
That was what I was told too but to start with 5 then slowly build up to 10 over 6 weeks
My physio said to wait till 6 weeks. Let the muscles heal they have been through a lot. Only ok to do a small kegal up when having a cough of sneeze to support the pelvic floor. I'd call your physio or doctor to ask. Seems to be a range of opinions on when it's ok.
Yeah that's what I've been doing. I've unfortunately been coughing more than usual because my throat is irritated from anesthesia tubes
As soon as I got home dr said start immediately. Evetyday forever, have to retrain evetything and also pelvic floor excercises
I started mine about 4 or 5 days post op.Doing them 3 times a day if possible.
I wasn't told anything but asked my gyny physio at about 3/4 wks and she said it was ok to do a few as long as no pain and it was good for getting blood supply moving. So I did just a few at a time 3 times a day and gradually built it up. X
