How to differentiate between anxiety induced and Covid caused shortness of breath?

So I should be on day 14 since Covid symptoms onset today, tested positive 8 days ago, and while I feel like I did experience every single symptom there is, I never experienced shortness of breath, at least I think so.

I had my second blood tests done yesterday which confirmed DDimer and Fibrinogen levels are still or went back into their appropriate ranges, C-Reactive Protein went down almost within its range as well. So far Ferritin is the only one that has gone up, up to twice its max value actually, currently at 500.61 ng/ml, max should be about 275, 3 days before it was at **338.5 ng/ml ** so that’s a significant increase too as far as I can tell. I haven’t heard back from my doctor yet. But as far as I’ve seen this goes up when there is immune system hyper inflammation, which can cause serious problems.

Since last night and until today I have felt as if my chest is heavier than usual, if I try a deep breath it feels as if I have something on me causing pressure, or like very tight constricting clothing.

My blood oxygen levels are normal, they range between 98% - 100%. Everytime I have been checked out by my doctor I have no problem reaching 100% either.

Blood pressure is also fine, heart beat rate is fine, 60 - 90 depending on the situation.

I feel like it would be too easy to blame it on axiety, especially since the risk is real given that most Covid related deaths happen in the immune response stage I’m in. But at the same time anxiety has made me feel similar to this before, especially when I can’t stop focusing on my breathing and I become hyper aware, like manual breathing. And during anxiety it has sometimes felt as pins and needles on my chest and hands as well.

So my question is, since most markers are fine, except for that one, could this be considered a bad indicator? Is this really what shortness of breath feels like? Or just some anxiety induced fear symptom that I’m getting?

Literally everyday feels like the last day lately, I hate living with this fear.

with everything you’ve been going through I would not be surprised if anxiety is causing the shortness of breath. You could see if you get some relief by doing some of the breathing exercises for anxiety found on YouTube. there are great anxiety meditations on there also.
If you are able to breathe easier after those, then it’s most likely anxiety. Now that doesn’t mean if the meditation doesn’t work that there is something wrong. I’m just saying if you do get relief anxiety most likely caused the shortness of breath.
take A break from overthinking all of this. Because that alone would cause breathing issues.
Get away from it and do everything you can to relax your mind and body. get a massage, take a hot bath, take a walk, listen to a meditation, Watch a comedy show or movie, anything that helps you relax.your markers are fine.don’t let fear control your mind. Be determined. doesn’t sound like you have a fever or cough . you’ll be OK.
