How to release the fear that causes my anxiety?

I started having severe anxiety two months ago and I finally realize what is causing it, but can't seem to let it go. I have a horrible fear of losing my mind and of the anxiety itself. Until I can conquer these I will never be free from anxiety, what can I do?

The problem above is part of Anxiety and you need to understand you have a cure possibl in your own hands.

The more you frighten yourself the more you will become sensitized to any creaks and squeeks that are normal and get better on their own.

You need to take control of your fears, only you at this stage can do that. I take an extensive amount of medications, Opiates are just one group I have taken them for decades, although I have a memory defect My Medication yes can cause absent mindedness. I accept my condition and have been taught about the groups of drugs I take.

I do not know how old you are, all I can really suggest is your fear is irrational. I would not worry about above until it happens, live your health for the day and take control of your fears like most of the general population. A great deal of health problems are had by everyone on a yearly basis and to worry about something that has not happened is counterproductive, live your life.

In my case the drugs I take are very strong, I take them because I need a certain quality of life, there is a risk yes, what if I did not take these drugs, what would be the quality of my life. Life is full of riskes we attend to our fears and make informed decisions. I now follow the day. That does not stop m Anxiety or fear. It does effect how I run my life and that need to be in a positive mood

Stop worrying I do not know your age, tomorrow personally I could get run over with a tractor, I do not worry about that type of accident or its implications. I get on and enjoy my life. No-one can see the future only your GOD can work out what is awaiting us.

Stop worrying, enjoy your life,

BOB

I am sorry you have this fear.  I have known that feeling for many years. Bob is right.

I finally learned after wasting over 20 years of my life that Fear is a useless emotion.

Nothing bad ever happened and I cannot ever get back a SINGLE day that I lost!

I could have been enjoying  those days but instead I let fear take me over.

Please don’t do this to yourself. It’s NOT worth it.

“The years I spent on “What If “  thinking literally robbed me of time I could have been enjoying.

I thought for years that I would FOR SURE get MS because my aunt had it and I had anxiety symptoms that mimicked MS. I never got it,

The things we fear the most RARELY if ever happen .

we all have to realize that nobody can predict the future. We could not only have Health issues, but we could lose our job, get in an accident, lose a home, and on and on.  It’s part of life!  It actually feels better to accept this and know it’s part of life, than to constantly worry and want to control it.  We cannot control some things.

So that’s why I have decided to enjoy and appreciate every single day of my life. Every day I write down what I am grateful for.  I take time out to enjoy the simple things of life, and remembering to laugh and smile.

If something comes up with my health, then I will deal with it at that time.

Fear will destroy your life and rob you of the full  enjoyment that you deserve in life.

The list of fear and worries could go on forever but what good would that do?

have you ever heard of mindfulness? It helps you gain a new inside and outlook into  anxiety , fear and negative thinking. There are many mindfulness meditation‘s YouTube that are great!

A GREAT AUDIO FOR you to hear is called Surrender Meditation on you tube. It helps you let go .

there is one called detachment from overthinking. There are many to choose from.

I listen to these  every day and they have helped me eliminate  the fear and negative thinking and it makes you realize what you’ve been missing and how  much happier you can be.

for example, it teaches you that when you have a negative thought, don’t try to fight it off. Because that will make it worse. What you do is, in a calm way, acknowledge the thought and be the observer of that thought.. No matter what it is. Let it be for a few seconds. Then, imagine it floating off and dissolving. Do this every time you get a negative thought.

your thoughts are not a part of you. They are separate. They come and go all day. Negative thoughts are not based on reality.  They are based on fear which is not rational or real fact-based. So you can observe them and let them go. Eventually your mind will do this automatically for you.

another thing that helped me was speaking with the counselor sees this every day and knows how to help. It’s difficult sometimes to do this on your own.

A book I highly recommend is called mindfulness and it is excellent! Many people on the site are reading it. It teaches you how to overcome your fear and negative thinking so you can be happy. It makes you realize what a useless emotion fear is and how to deal with it.  You can find it online or in bookstores.

I hope you feel better soon! Please try to stay active and get some exercise because that  releases good hormones in the brain.

Smile, laugh, enjoy your life! 🌸🌸🌸😊
