I'm already diagnosed with GAD last April big over the last couple of months I've been having thoughts of being a burden, limited mobility means most of what I used to enjoy is a distant memory, the thoughts are of ending it, I have many conditions that require pain relief but it doesn't work and I've given up going to GP.
But after speaking with my wife for the first time about these thoughts we've booked an appointment for the afternoon of 18th.
My point is, how can I even start to explain that I can't cope or adjust to this restricted life to the GP, I want:need help but do t know what to ask for ???
Write it all down before you go I've done this .
Yes definitely write down how you feel. Bullet point if it's easier. The main thing is to express how you are feeling and the way you feel. Including the thoughts.
You will get there, you're not a burden and you have people that love you. Health issues are tough on you too but always remember your family love you. God bless x
Hi Paul - yes - for the third time - write it down. Keep a Journal of how you feel. Entries need only be brief. If you can't explain it to the doc, hand him/her the Journal. You are not a burden, the doc is there to help you. Have your wife in there with you for support and clarification of your conditions.
