I found out yesterday I got a genital wart. I read online it's a form of HPV will I now have HPV for the rest of my life or it clears up on it's own?
Genital warts aren't always related to HPV and also if you got them doesn't mean you got HPV. You usually get a cream that'll remove the warts (duration 4-6 weeks). I got vaccinated for HPV.
You should get tested and let a doctor take a look at it
Genital warts ARE, in fact, caused by HPV, the first person to comment is 100% wrong. The warts may go away with or without treatment but this virus could be with you for life.
That's not true. I even had a long talk about it with my doctor and she specifically said "Warts aren't always caused by HPV. There could be other reasons too". I also had those warts and never had HPV.
