So I originally had what the doctor thought was a fungal infection (balantis) which i treated with daktacort and flucanzole. However the redness persists, maybe from the dakatacort (used for one week) but thats not my main concern.
I’ve developed a red painless bump below the foreskin. It seemed to appear over night but cant
be sure.
Will see GP tomorrow but would be really appreciate any advice in the meantime!
I’ve been to two GP’s who both say it’s insignificant but one agreed to give me a referral to a Urologist. Just waiting on a date now but still pretty worried given that the GP’s didn’t actually know what it was.
One said a skin nodule which is quite broad and the other said it may be due to bacteria etc.
I’ve also noticed that it seems to be the rim of the glans that’s affected. When I follow the line from one side to the next it seems the rim has inflamed or lumped up. Not sure if it’s an actual lump or just inflamed skin.
Been to three docs now, one who specializes in Dermatology and all three said its not suspicious looking.
The Dermatologist looked at it through a dermascope and said it looks like an inflammatory response and prescribed a mild steroid cream for application to that site only.
I have a urologist appt end of the month so ill update again for anyone who may have a similar issue in the future.
Hoping the steroid cream is the end of this but lets see.
man…this doctors seem to be very ignorant, I been at 2 different sex clinics and they insist my bumps (that I have for 4 months) are just a rash, I got tested for hiv, hepatitis, sifilis, chlamydia and ghonoreab and all are negative, I suspect either have hpv, scabies (because I have scabies on my hand) or a fungal infection (I have a rash under my eyes for around 4-5 months and nausea (all symptoms of thrush), I will apply permethrin for scabies for 1 day, then take 1 fluconazole pill + oral gel + fungal cream, and pray symptoms will go away because according to the doctors..there’s nothing wrong with me and I should just do nothing…although I never had any rashes, bumps, nausea before I got urethritis aprox. 7 months ago.
He said he wasn’t worried about the lump and that it did not look suspicious to him.
The mark is fleshy and easily compressed. It also flattens when the foreskin is fully retracted so its not actually a lump, rather it takes on the appearance of one when the foreskin pushes up against the inflamed skin as seen in the photo.
Oddly, my foreskin on that side was stuck to the glans which he “unstuck” and has left me with some additional redness and stinging.
He gave me a follow up appt for 6 months and kept reassuring me it was not cancer.
I’m typically an anxious person so even now im struggling to accept that reasoning but I suppose i must given three different doctors opinions, one with a dermascopy and a Urologist.
