what test is use to find hpv genital herpes or genital warts on the throat i m scared of having this in my throat how can i talk to my doctor about this thanks
Do you have any warts? They can do a physical examination of your genitals. Most likely they will burn them off. It may take a few trips to get rid of them all depending on the severity.
I’m not sure about throat warts. They may prescribe an antibiotic? I’m not sure.

As for genital herpes, you can have a culture done within the first two days of a sore, or have blood work done.
If you get cold sores the blood work may not be reliable if you test positive for HSV1. Because you can pass HSV1 usually associated with cold sores of the mouth to your genitals.

You cannot transfer your own established oral infection to your genitals, so disregard that worry.
Your doctor will check for presence of HPV high risk strains during your pap smear. There are over 100 strains of HPV and most clear the body naturally and have no physical symptoms. The strains that cause warts are the low-risk strains, and do NOT cause cancer. If you have no warts, just put this out of your mind. Low-risk HPV cannot be screened for outside of a pap smear or if you develop physical symptoms.
HSV (herpes) can be tested for via swab (if you have a fresh, open lesion), but you can’t just swab your genitals with no symptoms. However, as long as 12-16 weeks have passed since your last exposure, you can take a blood test (IgG only!) which would be able to tell you if you carry the virus.
There is no such thing as genital warts in the throat. If it’s in your throat, it’s not genital. Also, this isn’t a rational worry, why are you even thinking about warts in your throat? It’s incredibly unlikely.
As for talking to your doctor, just list your concerns, there’s no trick to asking questions of a medical provider.
You can indeed transfer the infection from oral to genital. It is rare but it can happen.
ok thank you for your information i m female my pap smear always come back normal i dont know what is wrong with throat maybe tonsillitis i really dont know so will i know if i did oral se?x to a person with hpv and then got it on my throat thats my fear can culture detect hsv because i have one and nothing show up can the blood tell if i have any of the virus or just some type of them it just that when i was young i did bad things i m scared something in my throat from performing oral$$ sex$
By rare, you mean almost never. It pretty much only happens to immunocompromised people (HIV for example), which means it isn’t really a rational explanation for the general public. When it is in both locations, it is almost exclusively because the person was exposed to both at the same time, as an adult.

All my doctors have said it can be transferred. Now, I do believe doctors are sometimes idiots and every doctor has their own opinion, so it’s hard to trust their word. But to have all of them say you can?
