HRT advice needed TIA

Hi

I'm 54 and came of HRT 2years ago,

I was prescribed at 29 after removal of ovaries and still have womb! Over the years I was on various tablets, starting with Prempack where I still had periods, and I think the last was Duo(?), where I didn't.

It was me who wanted to come off, though I did once write to a Gynaecological specialist when younger, about worries, and was told my tabs offered protections against cancer. Right now I feel much older, no energy to do all I used to, dry itchy skin, weepiness,

I want my life back.

Any advice on what HRT tabs or patches are the best combo for my particular surgery, with protection for womb, breasts etc and any risks greatly appreciated. Going to see Doc next week to discuss xx

Hi I have taken HRT for 7 years now, like you I took Prempack Duo first off then after 4 years I started on Indivina ...  Not sure  but as long as you have your womb it's best to take both Oestrogen & Progesterone as this protects the womb. Obviously you need to discuss this with your Dr .. Hope this helps xx

Hi like you I've had my ovaries removed but still have a womb,I've had a Mirena coil fitted as we need progesterone for our wombs and have estrogen by patch. My gynaecologist assures me this is the safest method to take HRT
