Was wondering you mentioned that you're skin is good with the estradiol is this a bio identical hormone or artificial hormone prescribed by your doctor. Because they say on the net that only bio identical hormones improve the skin and my collagen has changed dramatically in just a few months......
Me too I have been prescribed evorel sequi and all I do is looking at the box.......am scared of the side effect......i ran out of the organic red clover which was helping with my moods and h.flushes but since the company said product is out of stock I took nothing from several week and all I do is crying . I have back problem and this why I considered taking hormones.
Anyone or yourselves know if it will help with bones that much as I am scared as well to start......
İf it helps for skin and bones I would give it a try I. Stead or red clover am undecisive

Hola Florette, tomo Estradiol, que según me han dicho es una hormona derivada de plantas. Sí, mi piel está mucho mejor, ya que ya no está extremadamente seca y con picor. Otra cosa que quizás no haya mencionado es que las hormonas también son buenas para los huesos. Mi médico también me dijo que las hormonas pueden ayudar a reducir el cáncer de colon (que tuvo mi madre). Ahora, no sé si esto es cierto o no, pero sí sé que mi vida es muchísimo mejor tomándolas. Cuando las tomes, asegúrate de no tomar una dosis demasiado alta (tu cuerpo te lo hará saber). Intenté volver al Estradiol de 2 mg, como el que tomé en 1998, y ahora sé que es demasiado fuerte para mí, así que estoy reduciendo muy lentamente un miligramo cada pocos meses hasta que sienta que es lo que necesito. Escucha a tu cuerpo.

all is confusing....so many herbs etc available on the net....so many different opinions and people in england are not very much for hormone on the whole....my mum who if from france tells me all the times to
take hormones and you confirmed it's good for bones.....may be i should...
i've looked on the box it's a 3.3 mg estradiol that i have been given.
do you think this is high? i didn't know about different dosage etc...

Vivo en Texas. No sé dónde vives, pero aquí tenemos Estradiol de 0,05 mg, 1 mg y 2 mg. Actualmente estoy en 2 mg "de nuevo", pero aunque la dosis de 2 mg es la que empecé en 1998 (durante 5 años hasta que un médico intentó bajarme a casi cero mg), puedo notar que ahora es demasiado para mí en este momento. Con todos los cambios de dosis (6 veces el año pasado, no es de extrañar). Créeme, si es demasiado, tu cuerpo te lo dirá. Puedes buscar en Google los síntomas de exceso de hormona estrógeno. En resumen: sin ella me sentía como si estuviera teniendo un colapso nervioso y con ella tengo mucha energía y vida sexual. Algunas mujeres pueden llevarse bien sin hormonas, pero si han tenido una histerectomía completa, no veo cómo pueden funcionar en la vida.
Vivo en Herefordshire, el médico me ha puesto 1 mg. ¿Tienes muchos efectos secundarios con esto? Como tuve bastantes con el gel y no quiero más. Principalmente cambié debido a muchos mareos

Tengo dos amigas cercanas en 1 mg. de estradiol y están muy bien. Mi último médico me puso en 1 mg. el año pasado, pero empecé a tener demasiada ansiedad y ataques de llanto, así que mi nuevo médico me hizo análisis de sangre y los resultados mostraron que tenía muy poco estrógeno. Luego aumentó mi dosis a 2 mg. de estradiol. Al final del tercer mes pude notar que era demasiado fuerte (rubor facial, hinchazón y después de mi mamografía anual hace un par de semanas tengo un pequeño quiste de estrógeno. (que se disolverá por sí solo, pero esto también es otro efecto secundario de demasiado estrógeno). Así que necesito algo entre 1 y 2 mg de estradiol. La semana pasada fui a mi ginecólogo y le dije que iba a reducir muy lentamente cada pocos meses hasta que pueda notar que estoy en la dosis correcta. Hice esto en 2003 y nunca tuve un problema con el estradiol hasta que mi primer ginecólogo decidió empezar a cambiar mis dosis y me arruinó. Ahora estoy tratando de volver a donde estaba. ¿POR QUÉ los médicos creen que deberían manipular nuestras hormonas? Amo el estradiol y nunca planeo cambiar las dosis de nuevo, una vez que me regule. Al menos mi nuevo ginecólogo dijo lo mismo. También dijo que tiene pacientes en sus 80 años en estrógeno y están muy bien, y no tiene la intención de cambiarlos. Nota: Nunca tuve mareos con el estradiol, pero como salté tantas veces en dosis, subiendo y bajando (6 veces en 20 meses), me descompuse tanto que me ha tomado 8 meses completos para sentirme normal de nuevo. No me importa lo que cualquier médico te diga, NO, la mayoría de las veces no toma 2 semanas a 3 meses, si estás realmente descompuesta (hormonalmente) toma al menos 6 meses para comenzar a pensar que podrías lograrlo y para el final del octavo te sentirás como si estuvieras casi al final del largo y oscuro túnel. Una amiga que lo está pasando 2 meses más que yo dijo en los días que sientes que vas a perderlo, "aprieta los dientes y aguanta", esas palabras me ayudaron a pasar este horrible lío.

İ wished I had a female doctor or a proper gynecologist ! Here you have to pay lots of money to see one.
The reason I wanted to try hormones is for my back as I am in pain always and my low mood.

Hi, it's so good to read a positive story about HRT. For the last 3 years or so all I've read is the misery of menopause. I've mean in that misery myself and I'm fed up now. I asked my doctor about 2 year ago for HRT and she said it wasn't the right time to start it because my blood test said my hormone levels indicated I was just about through the it and I was coping quiet well. I listened to her and struggled on until a week ago I'd had enough I felt like an 80year old the aches and pain were unbearable. She took more bloods just to check there wasn't anything sinister going on. I received a phone call from her on Monday to say my bloods were normal and that I was an ideal candidate for HRT (post menopausal and 55 yrs old). I picked my prescription up today so hopefully in a few months time I'll be back on here to let everyone I'm a new woman.
i always thought once your periods had stopped for a year you were done and that was it but no seemingly not. I'm pleased I went back to see my doctor.

Femsept Evo and by the end of about 5 days they are peeling up at the edges. You have to press hard for 30 seconds at the beginning. I feel after about 5 days the effects are starting to wear off do you ? My Gyneo told me they are supposed to last 7 days but if I want to I can change them earlier, although the pharmacy won't like !
Have been on them almost 3 months and at the beginning I felt so great but have had an awful dip a week ago, feeling as bad as ever, is this normal ?

Its been 3 months almost and am up and down, some days like today I feel great about a week ago I felt as bad as ever. Not sure if all HRT is the same.
Its all a big nightmare there is no perfect solution I think. X
Hi I thought the same, its all very confusing isn't it, I hadn't had a period for 4 years then went on HRT patches and had one a week later !
I hope it works for you, its been almost 3 months now, have to say I feel much better, but some days are as black as they were before but I will stick with it. I think that HRT helps, but we are still going to be up and down, as things happen to us day to day which affects our moods regardless of menopause, that's life ! fingers crossed for you X
Es cierto que puedes tener altibajos con la terapia hormonal, aunque yo me siento mucho mejor. También tengo algunos días malos. Acabo de empezar con Estee solo, después de usar el gel. Si no noto ninguna diferencia, volveré al gel. ¿Alguien ha tenido efectos secundarios con estos?
Hi, thx for the message. Tried the Fem 7 for 4 weeks, no good now on Evorel 50 which changes to Sequi after 2 weeks. So far so good & it actually stays on! Told it can take up to 3 months to work so fingers crossed. Only side effect I had is slightly tender breasts but ok . Watch this space x
