I had total hysterectimy with bso last April and have been on evorel 50mg patches since July, everything seemed to be ok but now I feel like they're not working as good, do I need to higher the dose or change the way I take it? I don't want to take tablets at all.

I started on evorel 50 patches but needed to increase them, although I did find my moods changed drastically around the time I needed to change the patch meaning that twice a week I was all over the place, laughing one minute then crying the next. I asked the doctor to change to tablets which suited me better. I think the best thing is to visit your doctor and explain how you feel, maybe upping the dose will work for you. Good luck

Hi. I opted for gel as it goes on daily so you get a constant dose. As you know I had same op and I had to up my dose after few months as wasn't enough but gp said that may happen as it feels like its working in comparison to having nothing but as it levels it actually wasnt quite enough. It's always better to start low then find your level. Go back to your Gp and discuss with them. Good luck 😊

I'm on Premarin 1.5 dose I was on the lower dose at first, oops I had TAH BSO last July, I was horrible on them so I went to see doctor and they increased them but I also don't feel right in them my husband calls me Angry Nic haha I am really nasty I know I am but feel so angry then weepy it's awful xx I will make an appointment to see him again and see what he says xxx

Well I decided to up my dosage and cut a patch in half making it to 75mg ( which I've read you can do, my doctor is useless and against HRT completely) Felt OK last week but after my change day last night I felt ill today, migraines dizzy and nauseous. This afternoon I realised I'd forgot to take the 'old' patches off! Been in bed since!!!!

So if the old patches were still giving me some HRT then I'd got 150mg being absorbed! Won't happen again I can tell you

Yes some doctors are better than others I was awful without it really suffered hot flushes were bad
