Hi Tina ..you should do if you ask to try them my gp have me what i asked for I researched it first and ask for premique which were great for 3 years but not available anymore..I'm.now on Everol conti patches and there fine good luck xx

Hi jeanette I went today and was given prostap injection to bring on the menopause have to go back in a month for another injection will wait and see what happens Im very nervous as I don't no what to expect they said I probly get hot flushes I have had everything else expect them and night sweats so here goes more syptoms to had to my list of many ..

Hi tina05292,

Was there other issues that caused you to get the prostap injection? Just curious because your initial posting said you were wondering if you would be given HRT on your first appointment? Why I ask is it seems the injections inhibit the production of oestrogen so I think your going to see more issues.

Hi I been having systems of peri for 3 years I was surprised when they gave injection I thought I would go on hrt but the consultant said no more periods as I have a 21 day cycle so 7 days period then one week with on the 10 to the 14 day all pms systoms then period again so I only have 2 weeks clear of a bleed he said some thing about this will see if I need overs removed or my womb which I was in total shock so as from now I'm in menopause 3 years of he'll now he says I will get hot flushes and night sweats that's the only 2 things I was not having so I'm dreading what's ahead of me thanks tina ..

I only had injection yesterday an I'm having realy bad cramps feels like the onset of labour he said it would take 2 weeks for a bleed I only came off period on Saturday ...I never had this much pain when having systoms pervious cramps yes but this feels like a low pressure ....
