HRT

Hi all. I am meeting with my doctor next month (not happy I have wait another month) to discuss perimenopause and HRT. I've got all the symptoms of perimenopause except the periods. Mine are 25 days apart but are like clockwork. Anyways, my biggest symptoms are anxiety, moodiness and sometimes depression. I would like to hear anyone else's experience with HRT. Does it help with mood issues? Thank you in advance for your responses.

Hi Laura, I was on an HRT called Tibolone for just over 6 weeks my first 2 weeks were great apart from 2 days of slight nausea/ growling stomach and headaches but then my hands starting feeling arthritic and my tendonitis in my ankles felt worse along with lower back pain. My doc said was moor likely peri than the hrt but side effects did say joint and muscle pain as side effect. I then had a period with my usual worsened pms so decided it wasn't making a difference for me and arthritic hands worried me so I weaned off it 2 weeks ago but hands and pain still the same atm. The only symptom it seemed to help was the restless leg as that's returned along with this month's period. I know it helps alot of ladies but doesn't for others so I hope it works for you.
