This is super embarrassing and I have had such a hard time wrapping my head around all of this since I found out. 😣 About 2 weeks ago, I had this extremely bad, painful rash thing on my vagina and was extremely concerned. I am currently pregnant so I immediately went to the doctor when I realized it was just getting way worse! The tested it for herpes both 1&2. I went to the doctors this past Tuesday and they did in fact inform me that I have type 1 down there. I thought it was SO weird bc you normally think of cold sores to be on your face, right? Well, now I have to take medication a month before I go into labor to avoid any type of outbreak so I can deliver vaginally. My fiance gets cold sores, alot! Especially during the winter time! & I'm assuming he has gone down on me when having one forming or whatever. I'm not really sure on what kind of advice I need. I guess I just feel very confused and frustrated about it. Everyone usually things "ew, herpes!" And I'm trying not to think that way because it's clearly SO common. I guess I'm just having a hard time with it, especially with being pregnant. 😣 If anyone with experience or has had it for some time could give me some insight, I would appreciate it. I just want to know it'll be alright I guess. 😏
