Hi,
I am having an HSV outbreak in my throat. It was tested positive with a swab but don’t know what type. At four weeks mark, I did a type specific IgG test, HSV-1 positive and HSV-2 negative. Did another test at 9.5 weeks and results are still the same. Can I assume the outbreak in my throat is due to HSV-1.
This throat HSV incident happened after I performed oral sex on a guy. I used to get cold sores when I was a child. Is it possible that I could have HSV outbreak in throat irrespective of this oral sex? or did I just catch HSV-2 from this guy.
Thanks…
