Hsv scars

i got what was visually diagnosed as hsv on my butt over a month and a half ago. the lesions healed, but it hasnt changed appearance in 4 weeks. still getting shooting pains too. my doctor said the scarring might be permanent? does this look like an hsv scar?

short backstory, i had unprotected sex last september, had an outbreak a couple days later, pcr swab was negative. had another outbreak a month and a half ago, waited too late for the pcr, but my antibody test was negative. however im just assuming it was hsv because it was visually diagnosed and i had flu like symptoms plus swollen lymph node. waiting for western blot results

How long after the encounter was the Antibody test taken? Honestly it could be HSV seems like a strange place to get it though. In any case I would love to hear your results you should definetly update us when you get them.

Edit: You make it sound like HSV but if you keep getting negative test results maybe its not. I don’t think a visual diagnosis is that accurate when there are other things it could be.

i got the antibody 10 months after the encounter (also havent slept with anyone since)

Very unlikely that is HSV then. Were there blisters there or something? I just think there are a lot of other skin conditions that could be. I’m sure you can put your fears to rest once you get that western blot test.
