so about 3 months ago i was diagnosed with hsv1 genital. Ive been taking 1 500mg pill of valtrex daily since and havent had an outbreak since. Ive been sleeping with someone new who yes is aware of my situation. I noticed a tiny patch of dry skin next to my vagina. Mind you I examine myself daily bc I would never wanna risk passing him anything. Can dry skin be the beginning of another outbreak or am I over thinking ?
I think everyone’s outbreaks are a little different.
For me I notice the area get a little itchy, then a bump appears and then looks like a little blister or tiny skin peel.
They aren’t painful anymore.
is it possible to have outbreaks while taking valtrex daily ?
i had one in 5 months (i think) there was not itch or pain like previous but there was a small bump.. but i was my own fault i wasnt sleeping and out alot drinking! also eating junk food lol.
i wouldnt have noticed only for a look down their regularly so maybe it wasnt!
i didnt want to risk saying it wasnt if it was one!
