I have been dating a guy for a few months and we’ve been sexually active for a while. The last time we had sex (about a week ago) he told me after we finished that he had some chafing going on in his genital area. I didn’t think much of it because he’s an active guy and does activities that could cause chafing. The next morning he showed me the “chafing” but it was actually a sore near the tip of his penis. On Friday I started to notice a little tingle on my lip. I thought maybe I was psyching myself out because I was worried about the sore I saw on him. I do not have any open sores on my lips yet, just a barely noticeable discoloration of the skin. I see a very faint white circle. I am going to call my doctor tomorrow when they reopen. I researched what I should do or take to help with healing. I bought L-lysine 1000mg vitamins, have been applying Abreva 5x daily, and aloe vera gel straight from the plant. I’ve also been keeping my lips moist with 15spf lip balm. Does anyone have any other advice on what to do? I don’t want to overdo it with the home remedies. As for the guy, yes I know that I need to have a chat with him. I think his chafing is herpes… however I do not have any genital sores.
