Hydrotherapy going ahead

Hi everyone

Hope you are all doing ok.

Had a letter through this morning. My hydrotherapy will start on August 24th. I think someone pulled a few strings for me to get me in quick because there is usually a 6 week wait.I am down for 6 sessions. I hope this helps with the stiffness of the new hip due to not being able to walk very well and the pain of the collapsed one.. I was told at my assessment that I will really benifit from it.

Hi

I got my referral thru my back consultant,i was told by physio i was ok yet movement in left leg isnt as good as right hip.

Now having hydro every 2 weeks and see hospital physio every 3 weeks and her assistant in between. The assistant knows about hip replacement and runs a group so I feel quite positive, was losing faith.

Was told that once my four sessions end i can pay £20 for five sessions with a program and continue with hydro

hope you get in ok and find it helpful...water was lovely!!

HI Hailea sounds like you are getting large complications and they should do the other one to make the operated one better, hope it all gose to plan...I would hate to be caught like this...Ian. +++

Hi Ian

It has been a big complicaton since I had the first one done and the right hip went. Surgeon won't do the second one till all the swelling and tight skin  goes. But I can't mobalise enough now to help get rid of  what is left although I have really made the pain worse by trying so catch 22 situaton. Hopefully the hydro will help with it and when I see the surgeon he will get me done quick. He did promise me.

Hi Dee

.I am sure it is going to help me at least a little. It has got to be better than trying to do things I know I can't at the moment and struggling.

I should be ok getting in. It is getting out that is going to be difficult. But they have equipment to help you get in and out any way.

Hi Hailea , I think hydro makes a huge difference and am a big advocate. Let us know how it goes?
