Hyperthyroidism / late period?

Firstly, apoliogies for the oversharing on this one, but just want to see if anyone else has experienced anything similar...

Was diagnosed in November - hyperthyroidism.I have been on Carbimazole 20mg per day since November when I was diagnosed.

I was on Propranalol until last month. I stopped taking it as my endo said it would only really be helpful to me at the start.

I have not had a period now for about 7 weeks and experiencing an on off sickness feeling and stomach pains/cramps. Just to clarify I am 100% not pregnant so that is not the cause.

I have also noticed over the past month or so that I have been losing a substantial amount of hair. It has been falling out a lot, to the extent each morning when I get ready and brush my hair etc I'm having to brush the hair up off the floor as theres just so much of it.

I am not sure if any of the above are connected at all or even to hyperthyroidism but just a bit worried now and want to see if anyone has experienced anything similiar or has any knowledge regarding this.

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Billie

I can't relate to the menstrual issue as I was menopausal when I was diagnosed with Graves in 2007.  It has only been in the last couple of years that I have really noticed hair loss but in the last couple of months I feel it has improved.  I avoid certain hair products and go after others.  I think for me, getting tested for vitamin, mineral and amino acid deficiencies and replacing them helped a lot.  So does mindfulness or meditation or any practice that reduces stress.

How are your labs since you have been on 20 mg per day?  Do  you have a cause for your hyperthyroidism diagnosis?
