Hypochondriac, worried of MS

Hey everyone. My MS fears started 3 years ago when I was at my job walking through the aisles and felt the "walking on a boat" sensation like I was going to tip over. Of course I googled my symptoms, and MS is the first thing that came up. From then on I always felt weird walking through the aisles at work. Ive never had any debilitating symptoms though.

When I left this job, the symptoms disappeared. It was long gone until 2 months ago I started this new job, and it came back again while walking through halls (wet looking floors make me feel like Im walking on a boat).

I also get the light tingling in the legs/feet, the weakness feeling, and my right hand feels weird sometimes but I think thats because Im using the mouse all day at work sitting at a computer slouched over.

This morning I went to the gym and maxed out on the calf raise machine doing 300 pounds, 12 times....so the weakness I have seems perceived, not real. All of my symptoms come and go, they dont stay around for hours. If I think about it, it stays...once I get entertained with something else, it goes away.

Years ago at my first job, after I felt the symptoms I got a physical neuro test done, and it was all good. I also had a comprehensive eye exam, all good. Blood test all good, except my Vitamin D levels were super low. Recently I had another physical neuro exam and blood test, and all good.

Do you all have any opinions on this? Just a little worried thats all.

Well vitamin D deficiencies can cause a lot of the symptoms try Googling vitamin D deficiencies or deficiencies I take vitamin D every night and it helps me sleep and also gets rid of some of my leg cramps

MS symptoms do not just come and go and some are scientifically seen. They are there. Progressive in nature. If you truly had MS it’s likely that the symptoms would not just come and go. The “attacks” associated with MS are debilitating. The symptoms can linger and get in the way of normal functioning. In fact, I pulled a quote off the web from a person suffering from MS. They said the following:

“If you had MS you would not get better. You would get worse by the day until you would have no option but to see a doctor. You wouldn’t be able to sit and question if you had it.” — emclane

you had two nuero exams. Anxiety mimics 18% of MS symptoms. Anxiety actually mimics almost every single disease out there to some extent this is the problem with trying to self diagnose yourself using the internet.

forget about MS, ALS, brain tumor etc.. it is anxiety. It is horrible, it can debiliate life if left unmanaged. Its a horrible mindset. You have to believe the exams you get. dr. Google is basically useless. It is just a fantastic way to scare the daylights out of you and create more anxiety. health forums are a running second in how to scare you beyond anything you feared before. Youre just better off getting dr, exams and airing your concerns with a professiinal who has physically examined you.

I agree , i know someone with MS an sadly she is now struggling to walk , i never google my symptons as a person can become paranoid in what could be wrong , fortunately i know i can trust the doctors at my surgery to diagnose the right illness , health problem an i urge others to try an do the same if they can , i do though always read the leaflet that comes in with a medication as one can suffer side effects that could mimic other illnesses .
