Hypoxia

Jack, when I saw my doc yday my blood oxygen was 93.....will that be because of infection? And will that cause my tiredness?

Hi Iris, do you have a chest infection or a 'cold'? Or do you suffer with COPD?

I don't know if sertraline effects your oxygen saturation levels but I doubt it.

Did the Doctor use a standard SpO2 monitor with a probe on the end of your finger?

I am a paramedic by the way, so oxygen saturation is one of the tools we use regularly to help with patient diagnosis and treatment.

Hi, bn poorly on and off for a year.  Last August I suffered PE's  which left me weak for a while.  Got a period of depression now, but Tuesday I woke up dizzy.  Two health care nurses came to see me and said hardened ear wax.  I also mentioned traces of blood in phlegm, loss of appetite, fatigue, and I was diagnosed with a "chest infection".  Was given Amoxicillin but yesterday got to docs again.....given doxycycline 100mg.  IM exhausted.....don't know what is depression and what is chest infection.  Yes I had my blood oxygen levels tested in the docs surgery.  I've forgotten what it feels like to feel well.  Tia for any advice you can give me.  My brain feels a wee bit less tired today, but no energy or motivation

im presuming this chest infection is pneumonia?

My depression was just starting to lift, but then I thought it was regressing with the fatigue and no appetite.  Can this chest infection/meds cause such fatigue?
