I have a polyp which needs removing, am I right in thinking the hysteroscopy is done without pain relief???
hell no! you can choose either local anaesthetic or a general. i had a general when i had my polyps removed. my colleague had local and said she was fine with that, so its just personal preference

Ask for pain relief it feels like period cramps.

to be honest it was for 30mins! longer than I expected. Buy once it’s over you’ll feel much better.
the biopsy wasn’t a great experience but all I was thinking you’ll have peace of mind
