I am 11 years old and have recently been diagnosed with pityriasis rosea. Before the herald patch occured i had been under a lot of stress and my immune sytstem was very low after battling so many illnesses. etc sore throat, headaches and bad pains and stomache aches. In the half term holidays i had had continuous days where i was burning up and had bad headaches constantly.

Now that i know what i have i am a bit relieved.

I have been suffering from stomach aches, temperatures, extremely sore throat and stabbing pain in my stomache and over limbs.(despite my doctor telling me i would not have any symptoms and would be fit for school the next day)

As the spots have been appearing in groups on a daily basis my symptoms have been growing and i have been in much distress with my throats and other symptoms. I am now feeling very tired even after having 12 hours a night. I am feeling very tired and dizzy. After reading all of the messages i have figured out that most people, have had these symptoms and that the myth that you will be fine and will not experience distress or illness of any kind during the course of PR is not true.

I am hoping that i will be ok for school next week and am dissapointed that i will not be able to participate in the annual sports day as the hotness of the rubbing and exercise would make me even more distressed.

The views and experiences of othere people have been great to hear and it does prove that the illness of PR does mean that you will be ill and have symptoms along the way.

I hope that everyone else gets better soon and i hope PR does not occur again!

Fantastic comment! My PR is on its way out!! Hope you feel better soon. Somebody recommended I take vitamin B6 Complex, and I started to take it on the 4th week...week six and the rash is just scaley scars...which feel horrid....lizard like! I think the heatwave helped too. Best of luck.:D

Hi I agree! I just posted about my 10 yr old son who's just been diagnosed with Roseanne. Other than the blotches he is tired, exhausted all the time. I hope it ends soon
