The surgeon said he would cut me a "V" for more comfortable sexually activity. can anyone explain how this helps?

He said rectocele the space between vagina and rectum muscle wall has collasped. He will be putting stitches there to build that wall back up
So you have a bowel prolapse. He is probably making a cut at the top of the vagina to tighten it so sex will be similar to when you were younger (tighter vagina) so you and your partner will feel a difference. That's what I think he meant but you would be much better asking your consultant who I hope is a Urogynaecologist. When are you having the operation? Have you seen the Useful Resource on the Genitourinary home page? There's lots of useful information there particularly the South Tees information.

Are you in the UK terri? I only ask because Urogynaecologists mainly do prolapse repairs here but urologists do a lot in the USA.
usa. i live on south arkansas very rural im going to Little Rock. I think it will be overnite stay. i dont take pain meds well

There are a few ladies on this forum who are from the US but the Useful Resource I mentioned is mainly information from here in the UK but the surgery and after care is basically the same. I was in for 2 nights following my rectocele and cystocele repairs and I was grateful for that. I hope you find pain meds that suit you because it can be painful post op although some ladies sail through without any problems. Keep in touch
huraah. i am out of surgery a couple hours and im doing wonderful. demeral an fenergin for pain heatin pain on butt and no real shocking pain. first leg of this journey going good i jus,slep 2 hrs and even peed a bit. ate a lil bit and im blessed.

yes thats what I thought too, im a lil more swollen tonite but gonna try sum ice and aleve the drive home was 2 hours n a truck thru construction and lights went out at home from a wind storm. tree damage everywhere
