I am extremely anxious to know what’s going on, and afraid to talk to anyone

Hello,

Recently I had protected sex with my boyfriend for the first time and I had told him that I am extremely sensitive and to take it easy. He tried his best but I still ended up tearing and swelling up in the area under my vag, which is normal for me. Everything usually heals back up over a couple of days but this time is different.

This was on Sunday and I have never been so sore in my life. I kept a close eye on the tears every time I used the bathroom, in which it was very painful when my urine touched the tears, and used Vaseline as well as A&D ointment to heal the chapped skin.

This morning when I went to check it, I noticed that my tears are now bumps. Since they’re so large, I don’t want to believe that they are herpes, but I have a feeling that that’s what it is. I can’t tell if it’s herpes or a really bad infection.

Here are pictures from this morning.

it could be either bacterial or hsv it looks like both!
given the pain you say you are experiencing i would say hsv. i know its scary but its best to get it swabbed x

Hopefully I’ll be able to get checked tomorrow! I am very afraid that it is hsv, even though I am that it isn’t the end of the world.

Thank you for your advice

Of course it’s scary. It’s going to be a change in your life and not a particularly pleasant one.
All I can say is it gets easier and it’s very easy to live with! It doesn’t change who you are.
If you ever wanna chat I’m happy to

i had the same thing happen to me and i would look up herpes and my vagina had the same problem as the pictures on google i use to cry but then i found out it wasnt that it was something else that i could get rid of so dont beat yourself up about it until you get tested

Pretty hard to tell. Does it look any different today?

the camera is really deceiving. the pussing areas look like bumps in the picture but it’s actually a flat area. I did have this looked at and my doctor said that it doesn’t look like herpes and I don’t have BV Trich or a Yeast Infection. But I am still very much in pain and last night I took my first warm bath like she instructed me to, so hopefully after a few of those this should start to heal.

If you could, perhaps post one more picture of the same area you took with the previous pic. It makes it a lot easier when you can see the progression of certain sores over a day or two to tell what they are – especially with herpes, which typically has a progression that is very similar among most people.

But obviously it’s up to you, and hopefully your doctor was right.

did you figure it out?
