On 30th of March I burned myself with hot boiling water. That night I woke up and my right hand felt different. I stayed in hospital for 2 days to tream my pain from the burn but my mind was always occupied with my muscles weakening and diseases related to that.
Right now I cannot relax, eat or sleep. I am more worried about my right hand side being weaker. I visited my GP but I am going back again.
I am scared of future and what it can bring.
I hope by sharing and hearing different opinions I may feel better.
Muscle weakning, tingling, numb on the limbs is very strongly ties to anxiety. It is mere cause and effect of n adrenaline rush. The blood pools to majot organs so the imbs get the backlash it the body wanting to oerserve life .odd isnt it a self preservation mechanism (fight or flight) is making us all miserable.
things you can do if you feel you must rule stuff out so you can focus on your anxiety healing is see a thematoid specialist. They will take a good 20 viles of blood from you and test you galore and muscles included. Major organs included. They have somograms in their office so anything awry they will do that there as well. This will rule out many auto immune illness and rhematoid artritis issues as well as inflammation or anything that will sinister. If anything comes back on your blood work off they will then dorect you to the proper specialist. Very thorough. I recently was sent to one, three hour exam and a ton of blood work and some more bloodwork based on whatever they wanted to rule out. I warn you auto immune has no cures either, but you tested positive then theyd mange it.odds are you have an anxiety disorder. I was sent based on ailments i had already and my doctor felt that should be done. I had dodged it for years. But this would surely squash most of your imagined fears. Many run to a nuerologist unaware of who really tests for what. The nuero should be based off of the rhematoid specialist they would recognize a need for that.
theres so much gatekeeping referalls arent so easy to get but you can ask your gp.
im sorry about your burns hopefully that is well on its way to heal. Be patient.
I am not a doctor, but it may be some sort of shock to your right hand.
Just keep treating it for now. Don't think about diseases because you're not a doctor to begin with.
If you think that your symptoms are similar to that of something very grave, but you lack any medical knowledge, then you can't give yourself the disease you're thinking about.
Do you get my point? No, you won't get cancer from a burn. No, you won't go crippled from that burn. No, you won't develop anything grave from a burn. Especially if that's boiling water.
Chances are you'll just get some sort of skin condition that can be treated with proper medication. Just think about recovery and not disease. After your doctor gives you a clean bill of health, try to take care of yourself.
