Mi cirugía robótica es dentro de 3 días y he leído algunas cosas buenas y algunas malas. Estoy completamente aterrorizado. Solo quiero salir corriendo de todo esto. ¿Alguien tiene algunas palabras de consejo relajantes para mí?

I wish someone had given me some words of advice before my surgery to help better prepare me.
1-I would try to stay as hydrated as possible from now until the surgery.
2-I would also pay close attention to your bowels now because so many women have terrible constipation issues after surgery. I would have taken a stool softener before the surgery and also started taking miralax. This would have prevented the horrible constipation problems afterwards.
3-Try to stay calm. I let myself get stressed out and full of anxiety and that led to horrible problems. So many issues I was having were caused from stress.
4-Don't rush back to work or anything. I was told I'd be able to go back to work after 6 weeks. Well, it's been 10 weeks and I'm still not ready to go back. I had to accept this and move on.

Mi cirugía se realiza de forma robótica, por lo que me dijeron que la recuperación sería de 2-3 semanas, ¿es eso falso? También me dijeron que la cirugía duraría una hora, ¿es eso falso? Me han advertido sobre el estreñimiento y estoy preparada con los medicamentos. Estoy preocupada, ¿se puede orinar con normalidad después de la cirugía?

My surgery was not robotic so I can't speak of recovery time for robotic surgery. I had a total abdominal hysterectomy 10 weeks ago and I'm still having a very hard recovery and have not gone back to work yet. My surgery was 2-3 hours, but I'm not sure length of robotic surgery.
Yes, I was able to pee after the surgery. I had a catheter in place until the day after the surgery but was able to pee as normal once catheter was removed

No conozco tus circunstancias ni la razón de tu cirugía. Para mí, la mejor manera de afrontarlo es vivir en el presente. Esto ayuda a reducir la ansiedad y la preocupación por lo que puede que nunca suceda. Tuve una histerectomía total en mayo y en muy poco tiempo me sentí como si no hubiera tenido cirugía alguna. Seguí las instrucciones de no levantar peso, estirarme durante las seis semanas completas y no estaba conduciendo de todos modos, ya que me fui de vacaciones después de dos semanas. Escribe cualquier pregunta que tengas y pregúntale al cirujano. Ellos son mucho mejores dando una visión completa. Evito preguntarles a las enfermeras cualquier cosa, ya que no conocen tu caso en particular. Cuídate y nutre tu bienestar. Todo lo mejor. Lyn

Don't be scared. I was the same way because I had never been put to sleep but it wasn't as bad as I thought. In fact, I don't remember a thing about the surgery! Just make sure they keep on top of your pain management!
