i am trying alternative drinks

Has anyone else started drinking camomile tea for bad stomach and stress if so does it work for you.

it didnt do anything for me. try manuka honey its not cheap but it works great

Do you also suffer from reflux. How long have you been using Manuka honey

which kind do you buy and how do you take it on its own or with some other food?

Evidence suggests that when you drink herbal teas they do not contain any of the actual herb, they just taste of it. So it may soothe you because it does not contain any of the caffeine or bad stuff in the other drinks or because of the placebo effect but it does not have actual goodness. Also ask yourself what the quality is of the water you drink. Is it full of acid or flouride or chlorine?

Good point what do you drink?

At the moment I drink ordinary tap water ! But when I feel better I will be looking into whether that is a good idea.

The britva filters are useless really, they only remove one thing, the thing that furs up a kettle, not the other things that might be iffy, I have looked at other alternatives and there is such a huge choice it would be stupid to rushinto anything. You can get a special filter fitted under your sink if you want to go the whole hog.

I think water is water its all same

Yes, I drink it every morning and it does seem to help. cheap, natural and worth a try!

I used to drink chamomile tea for bad stomach and because I found it soothing. Then for some reason I went off it. I now drink Fennel tea with a small amount of honey when I get a bout of acid reflux and find this works better. Whether or not it;s a placebo effect, I have no idea, but it tends to make me burp, thus relieving some of the gas, so guess it's what suits the individual. I've also tried Licquorice tea when going through a bout of constipation and also found this helpful.

Regards, Val.

I don't like the tea myself I want to say it made it worse

All herbal teas are placebo. There was a programme on tv recently - done by scientists and doctors - they said that the teas just taste a bit of the thing with some flavouring. It is just the flavour that you are putting with water.

But relieving some gas may be a good thing whichever way you do it. If licquorice tea helped with constipation that sonds like coincidence as it is impossible.
