about 11 hours ago i ate a bite or two of a chicken tender that was raw. i didnt know they were raw because they were breaded and packaged so i thought u could microwave them i only ate 2 bites and then threw them away because they tasted rubbery. 10 hours later i barley found out they were raw and im kind of getting scared i might get salmonella. will i get sick from this??
You might, but you might not. I ate raw chicken when I was a teenager: me and my friend cooked a couple of chicken kievs in an oven for a while, but it was an old oven without a fan, so we just ended up eating hot raw chicken, but neither of us got ill.
The incubation period for salmonella ranges from several hours to two days. Monitor the situation closely but calmly. The longer you remain well, the less likely you have got food poisoning. If you do catch anything, remember to stay well hydrated
Some ,people develop symptoms between 8 to 72 hours whereas others show no symptoms.
