I constantly struggle with breathing in all the way when I'm awake and end up hyperventilating because I cant breathe properly, but my fiance says I breathe fine when I'm asleep. I'm wondering if anyone else deals with this and what the hell I can do to fix it, belly breathing doesn't work for me. I can do it for seconds at a time then immediately have to do a sharp inhale, it doesn't feel like I'm breathing. then when I exhale I have to force that out too. help??? i cant keep living through this agony
ive been suffering from shortness of breath and air hunger for 10 months its sooo severe i have to gasp for air every 30 seconds i breathe fine while asleep… while awake i cant do anything cant work barely eat take a shower walk… all my test come back normal yet I’m 100% disabled
I’m sorry to hear, that sounds tough. Anxiety can cause hyperventilation especially if you’ve developed a phobia about breathing but have you seen a dr about it before?
I have had that on and off almost my whole life. It definitely sounds like anxiety. I also yawn in order to gasp a full amount of air, it’s wierd. Try to meditate and do breathing exercises. Also make sure you see a pulmonologist to rule out anything else.
