I can smell my brain ?

I feel like I may have brain damage or something. The past year I've been able to 'smell my brain', I can smell my brain I've tried to put it into words but I just cant find the way to explain it. Its like my nostrils are inside my brain and I can smell the brain or whatever, the smell I smell is un-explainable, maybe this is why I have this horrible head anxiety feeling I've had for a year. I heard someone talking about smelling their brain in a tv show and It occurred to me that I have that too, and I've suppressed the feeling so much I almost forgot I had it. I heard of phantom smells which said I could have gotten it from head trauma, epilepsy, or temporal lobe seizures. The third one relates to me because I've had temporal lobe seizures most likely from my bad experience with cannabis. Please give your thoughts. (im posting this in anxiety disorders because I closely relate the feeling I get to anxiety if that makes any sense)

That’s interesting, I had the same experience for a long time till last year or so. It was like the smell was coming from the inside of my head and not from outside. As you say, it is difficult to describe it but ‘chemical’ comes close to it. I never smelled something like it before and after this period of time and can’t really compare it with anything. At the time I suffered from increased intracranial pressure due to a Lyme infection, and I suspected it to be some fluid coming from my brain through a puncture in the ethmoid bone. I had read about the possibility of this somewhere but can’t remember where exactly.
How do you know you had temporal lobe seizures?

I had a few experiences that were really weird and didnt know how to describe them, I talked to a doctor and he said these were temporal lobe seizures. I got brain scans or whatever its called to test for epilepsy but it was all good I dont have epilepsy.

Well that’s at least a good thing then, no epilepsy. I’ve also read that migraine can be a cause of smelling things which are not there, but in general these are familiar smells, like flowers or smoke as far as I understood.
