I have such trouble trying to sleep at night. I get so anxious and worked up when it starts to hit around bed time. I'm so tired, but can't allow myself to fall asleep because I'm afraid of the nightmares that might come. All I want is to sleep and not have anymore flashbacks or nightmares.
Been there with the afraid to sleep thing, it's awful I know. Have you tried breathing exercises for anxiety and seeing scary thoughts as just thoughts that come and fade, trying not to force them away,but not following them either concentrate on the breath.Loads more detail on Web for easing anxiety- sometimes they actually work! hey alexis416. i know where your coming from, im scared to fall asleep too because i dont want the nightmares to carry on. my way of kinda working on it, its tell people what the nightmares are about, then we can help from there. as for the anxious, try listening to some relaxing music and scented candles or something like that, it helps for me. if you want to chat just message me. x
