I can't deal wth this Anxiety anymore please help!

I have been battleling anxiety for the past six months or so.  At least severe anxiety.  I have had a multitude of symptoms from, Heart palpitations to vertigo, chills, numbness on my arms and face, nevous stomach and shortness of breath to name a few.  However, this latest symptom which has kept persistent for at least 7 weeks now is one that i just can't cope with anymore.

The symptom is me not beng able to take a deep breath.  I don't know if that makes sense or if im explaining it wrong.  It is not shortness of breath, i've had that but this is way different.  I feel like my chest does not expand when i breath, I feel like there is no air running through my chest, I can't tell if it is tightness or swelling or I don't know what.  But i can't feel my breath, I feel like i can't get enough air when I take a deep breath.  It gets worse when i start to panic.  I'm ok if i breath normal and slow.  In addition to that my neck area feels the same way, like if i was on some type of sedation.  It's just very weird i can't really describe it.  I have been to the dr several times and they keep telling me is Anxiety.  It's not going away, and this is not something that only happens when i stress out or so, it is every freaking min of the day whiles im awake.  Again, if im calm and relaxed, I can breathe just fine, it is only when i take a deep breath that i have difficulties.  Anyone have feedback on this?  Please help. I talke to my Yoga instructor and he told me that e went through the same thing but i really can't deal with this anymore, it's been 7 weeks now.

I know what you mean. Everytime I get over a symptom a new and worse one starts. I feel like im dying all day. Chest pains are constant pains in shoulder and arms. I get migraines, and chest freeze is what my doctor called it, numbness in my face, and even an eye twitch sometimes. I swear the doctors are missing something and Im on the verge of a heart attack or stroke. You just have to keep reassuring yourself that your fine. if you need, take that trip to the E.R, ask for more test. It always makes me feel safer to get checked out. The more you're assured that you're ok the more the symptoms start to go away.

Thank you and yes that is true. I have been to the ER 6 times this year not counting the multiple dr office appointments! Chest freeze, thats the perfect way to describe it. Its a horrible sensation.

Yes me too, I recently requested stress test and echogram just to feel safer. Hang in there, my family members that have also experianced this, tell me one day you'll wake up and itll just be gone. So stay hopeful for that. 😊

Thank you so much, and yes i had the same thing done all comeback clear!

I was also about to say if you need to take atleast a trip to the ER when this happens. When i used to get very very panicked and scared I would go there just to make sure I was okay, they would do an ekg and bloodwork and then send me home. But atleast I can get sent home with reassurance. Remember Anxiety SUCKS. You can feel so so so many different symptoms that you think are major and it's really just our brains tricking us. the more we think of these things happening the more they happen. Good luck❤️

I know exactly what you're referring to, I had the feeling of being unable to take a proper breath for a long time.  I eventually got stuck into this horrible loop where it felt like I was never able to take a fulfilling, deep breath.  It took me a while to break out of it, and the sensation still occasionally returns if I'm having an anxiety episode.

I had my lungs and heart checked out, my oxygen level was always normal, it definitely seemed to be a totally mental thing.  When I first encountered this problem, it was the turning point where anxiety really started to negatively impact my life; while before it had been able to suppress it and function normally for the most part.

You've been to the doctor, you need to trust what they're telling you.  I know it's hard because of what you're feeling, but right now your mind is locked into this mode of thinking where it seems you can't get a full breath. There's really no one answer to this issue.  A mental health professional could help you, but the very first step is accepting it's anxiety.  It's easier said than done, I still struggle with accepting some of my symptoms are caused by anxiety.

I feel the same and i am dealing it from last5 years i am 31 now..till now i visited more then 20 docs i have done 16 ecgs ,2 echos,15 ecgs of me is clear in one my cardiologist find slow heart beat he monitor my heart for 24 hours my result is 98.75%..my cardiologist talk to me in detail he say i am not alone every person has some time slow heart rate some time fast i am fine i say ok... beside that i have acid problem because i do gall bladder surgery 7 years ago...... i have done endoscopy 'colonscopy'complete body blood tests 3 times'urine test'stool test 2 time ultrasound 3 times'chest x rays 4 times nothing show any problem i feel pressure in my left side chest and i burp alot i feel air in my chest today i go again to my cardiologist that i am tired of it he say that its bcoz of stress but he disnot convince me i am in Japan these days thats why i request him to do at least ct scan of heart he say in clinic its not available so he forward me to big hospital on 17 of this month i go to big hospital and discuss that with other doctor and request for ct scan of heart or mri of heart bcoz i wanna know what is actual problem i accept i have digestion problem and bcoz of that i feel gas in my stomach and chest bcoz i dont have gall bladder but the problem is heart when ever there is some thing my focus is always on heart better to do more tests then sudden death thats what i wanna go on i suggest you to do some more tests like a basic ecg, echogram, monitor ur heart for at least 24 hours for palpitationand do ct scan of heart it will clear ur mind if there is some problem or not if not u will defeat ur anxiety if problem do treatment wish u all the best
