I constantly have to explain I don't have a cold

I have never had problems with my sinuses before. I have Ryhonitis In the past year. I have been taking Asthma medication, in the last six months, so not fair never having smoked, and been healthy all my life. Also had to,have an Endoscopy as had heartburn and swallowing problems the same year, this has improved and no longer on medication for Reflux.

But my nose, never has been my favourite feature of my face. I wake every morning with a feeling that my nose and sinuses are really full, however I cannot clear my nose by blowing it. I can after fifteen minutes or so, blow my nose but, I can never clear it. I was on Nasonex for four months, but that now does nothing for me, Dr has changed me to Beclometasone spray twice each nostril and twice a day, only started that yesterday. This may sound discussing, but I can sniff and move mucous, in my nasal cavities, but cannot clear by blowing it. The doctor says I may have a deviated septum, after I explained, I was pushed onto my face as a child, playing blind mans bluff. I feel very lethargic but talked him out of giving me an antibiotic, as did not think I needed it. Not so sure now. I have tried the Nasal flush out after buying the battery operating kit, no help. Purchased a massager, hoping I could dislodge, another no help. Head over hot water with Eucalyptus dropped in, and inhaling, that helps for a while. I also use Potters Catarrh pastilles, they also help breathing for a while. Shall have to see if I can phone him for the Antibiotics. I am lucky in that my doctor, has his own pharmacy attached to his practice in our village. I am not in pain only pressure feeling in my sinuses.

i had same nose spray for months, beconase makes my nose to dry and given me a dry throat and my has changed my voice, the doctor thought i had reflux but it was the nose spray upsetting me, so i tryed something different i stoped having dairy stuff for whole month and yes it has helped, so its worth a try.

Thank you for your reply. I shall try the spray for a while and but taking note od your experience with this spray. I have given up milk in tea and coffee, but very occasionally will have cheese on toast or a magnum.

Hey oooooooops...........try taking Naproxan 3x a day, I have been on it now for 2 weeks and I feel relief, beleive me I have had inflammed sinuses now for over a year and just before I starting to take this, I thought my head was seriously going to explode..................and I took everything and anything, and this SEEMS to give me releif so far.......cross my fingers and toes...........scary stuff the inflammation me no like sad

Thank you very much I shall get onto that tomorrow. I am fed up talking like I have a peg on my nose, let alone the discomfort. 😥

Hey ooooooops let me know how it goes ?

Hello to everyone who has the nasal nightmare. Trying to put this on other blogs too. I bought a thing on Amazon (Boots and Lloyds chemists, do them too, UK of course this is) a light beam. Cold red light been designed to irradiate the mucous membranes. It actually works. The first time I used it, just before, I tried to blow my nose, nothing, then inserted the thing, and while not wanting to be too detailing, it certainly did the trick. Now my doctor also changed my nasal spray to Beclometasone, that too, has helped, I think I definitely have a polyp and it has shrunk with this corticosteroid nasal spray, I am going to reduce the spray to one spray up each nostril as progressing well with this too. Not supposed to use this spray for more than three months. But this light beam is the bussiness as far as I am concerned, not a drug, tiggles the nose a bit, and I look like Rudolffe the raindeer, so not in sight,of others, I re commend this.
