I definitely have gallstones

Hi everyone

Thank you all so much for your replies to my initial post!  I have now got my first appointment with the Upper GI specialist on June 4th so not too long to wait. When my GP rang me with the results of the ultrasound, she said that I have lots of small stones and one big one. She thinks that my gallbladder will need to come out and that the surgeon will probably want to discuss laparoscopic v open surgery.  To be honest, it would be such a relief to (hopefully) be without the pain/bloatedness and general feeling of being 'a bit under the weather'

Can anyone tell me whether  low-grade nausea is common in gall bladder probs? I wake some nights with the under-the-rib pains and then feel quite sick. (I never actually vomit though).

best wishes to you all

I never really felt sick with mine, a lot of pain though.

I had my gallblasdder out on 29th April (2 weeks ago) keyhole surgery.

Still a bit sore and now it is getting itchy but it is nice to be without that pain.

Take cre and keep in touch

Praying for you

Hi,

I suffer nausea and sometimes it gets so bad I feel I can be sick but haven't yet.  I have found it to be certain foods so avoid them. I take ginger tea and a couple of ginger biscuits when it's bad.

Hi Anita. Thanks for the tip about the ginger.  I should have realised that it might help because I used it many years ago to help with pregnancy morning sickness   Will definitely try it now!

Best wishes
