Hi guys, i hope that you can help me out

I'm 17 and i'm suffering a lot from those chest pain, shortness of breath,i want to cry and scream, my whole body is off and i have no energy, it feels like i'm dying and i have thoughts in my head that i'm going to die soon, or i'm going to have a heart attack I don't know what to do it starts in a second than it lasts to an hour, I would really like to get some answers from you.

Btw here where I live we don't have a GP or something like that how you call it..

Thanks a lot.

Hey Ed,

Just to let you know that you are not alone on this one, I my self have been through that stage at the beginning of my anxiety disorders. Its common to feel all that. I am in England and here GP stands for general practitioner. So a doctor. If you can get someone to give you a medical exam to put your own mind at rest will help you out. I work for the ambulance service but in no way am I an expert in this. But mental health is a pain in the butt if it's not 100%. But anxiety doesn't kill you so try to relax and put your mind at ease and get to see someone about it as soon as you can. What country are you from??

Hey hannahhenkel.

I don't know why my auto correct changed it to Ed. I don't know how to edit a recently posted comment

Your symptoms definitely sounds like anxiety. I'm obviously not a doctor, but your symptoms sound like mine. Hang in there! You're not alone

I’m so sorry you are going thru this at 17 anxiety is awful try to figure out what’s causing it even tho we are living in a high anxiety and toxic environment! I have noticed that eating big meals cause my anxiety so I try to eat small and dairy triggers it

Hi. I am 18 and I have most of the symptoms you do. I have severe health anxiety and always believe there is something seriously wrong with me. I thought I would have a heart attack as well. I have chest tightness that can go into my arm, headaches, body numbness. It is frightening but we are very young and need to rest assured that it is far more likely these symptoms are physical manifestations of anxiety than it is these symptoms are of some serious condition.

You don't have a doctor around you? An urgent care or hospital? GP just means general practitioner. I don't ask because I think there is something wrong - I ask because getting checked out by a professional could help you out a lot with your fears. Health anxiety is a big cycle - we feel symptoms of anxiety, become anxious and stressed about them which in turn triggers more or worsening symptoms. It's important that you do things to keep your mind off it. You are not dying. You need to relax. Read a good book, watch your favorite show, listen to some music. Try deep breathing techniques, yoga, meditation, even exercising can help tremendously. If it continues it may be necessary for you to see a counselor/therapist - I just started and found this has helped me a bit.

Symptoms from anxiety are scary because they often mimic serious conditions, but they are not harmful and definitely will not kill you. You are not alone in this x
