I was diagnosed with chlamydia a little over a week ago and I was given a shot of something like penicillin and I was given a prescription for azithromycin i used it, but my symptoms have persisted if not gotten worse. Before I was treated my symptoms were mild I had a vaginal ulcer and a bit of a sore throat, after my treatment the ulcer is almost gone but I have alot of vaginal discharge and my vagina is pretty sore and itchy it's been like this for a few days now and nothing really seems to be helping. Is it possible for the antibiotics to not work or is this normal?.
It's possible, schedule another appointment with your doctor. It's possible it could be resistant to the antibotics if you have taken a lot of them in your life.
