hi! i dont know what's wrong with me. google says it could be an sti, or pregnancy, or nothing (not vague at all..). i would go to a sex clinic but my parents are quite strict and controlling so it's quite hard to. im 16 and my boyfriend (both clean) and i are sexually active. we always use a condom and are very careful. but for the past week, my discharge has been a creamy latte colour yellow-brown, and yesterday and today i have gotten a small amount of blood in my discharge (10 days before my period is due). the blood comes out in clear watery discharge and is like in threads, but my normal discharge is like i stated before. it doesnt smell, nor do i have any other symptoms apart from light cramps and slight diarrhoea. does anyone have any suggestions for what this could be? thank you for your time
Hi, the brown discharge and the blood is not necessarily a concern as spotting between period is common. Yellow however can be a sign of infection. Since you have no other symptom, my advice is to wait and observe if the unusual period persists. If you have pain, odor and weird discharge, don’t hesitate to go to the doctor. Vaginitis is frequent and unrelated to std so your parents will understand and hopefully don’t ask question. If you’re not using condom I suggest you do until you feel it has resolves because sperm has not the same PH as your vagina and it can throw your ecosystem of balance and cause yeast or BV.
